Apply for CDL Data Fellowship!
Wanted: Current graduate students who are enrolled in any of the following subjects: Public Policy, Planning, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related fields with at least (1) year or 3000 hours of training in data analytics to become Civic Design Lab (“CDL”) Data Fellows at Oakland's Civic Design Lab on a rolling basis beginning Fall 2018.
Join us to improve government through good use of data and research; crunch data, communicate the analysis to help deploy insights into our service design projects that tell stories of resilience and community empowerment. This fellowship is especially appropriate for policy wonks with a passion for data analytics, who is interested in evidence-based civic service design delivery process and understanding the communicative, strategic, and cultural dynamics of the city through the racial equity lens.
The City has a bunch of data - your job will be to help us put that data to work. Fellows will have the opportunity to shape an ambitious financial empowerment programs that the Civic Design Lab is supporting through the City of Oakland’s various outreach programs, which works with some of the hardest hit families in Oakland.
